Melanie is currently the youngest legislator serving in the Washington State House of Representatives. In 2014, at the age of 24, Melanie made history when she became the youngest female elected to the State House since 1934. She currently serves on the Transportation and Higher Education Committees and is a strong voice for transparent government.
Melanie graduated from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, where she competed and placed in Global Case Competitions, and played in the Wind Ensemble. Melanie is passionate about giving back to her community. She has served on the Communities In Schools of Puyallup Board of Directors for over 7 years, working with the national non-profit focused on drop-out prevention. In 2009, Melanie was selected as Daffodil Princess from Emerald Ridge High School and later was selected as Daffodil Queen.

Coach + Speaker + Entrepreneur + Interior Designer + Wife + Mother
Tina was an interior designer for over 20 years, designing residential, commercial, and new construction projects. While designing during the day, she began life coaching in the evenings, helping individuals and families find clarity in complex situations. Growing up with five stepdads, Tina was a “kid at risk” and grew up in a turbulent home. She uses the perseverance, intuition, and grit she gained from her childhood to identify the heart of every issue and find a clear solution for everyone she coaches.
Tina has spent years investing in the lives of children. From PTA Program Coordinator to PTA President, Tina received the Golden Acorn award two times for her dedication to elementary and junior high students. Tina is strategic-minded and developed Melanie’s campaign strategy throughout 2014 and 2016, helping create the brand that carried Melanie’s campaign to victory.
A true researcher, Tina seeks information relentlessly and leaves no rock unturned. After ethics complaints were filed against Melanie, Tina made a series of public record requests and uncovered a tangled web of deceit supporting the fraudulent complaints against Melanie. You can count on Tina to be diligent and persistent.
Tina has been married to her husband Donald for 37 years. She loves to learn and immerses herself in new information every day. She is crazy about animals, she enjoys reading, and playing board games.
